Netflix executive Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten and director of “Jesus Revolution,” Jon Erwin, are launching a new production company dedicated to creating inspirational and faith-based programming.
The announcement coincides with the rise in popularity and strong box office performance of religious works such as “The Chosen” and “Jesus Revolution.”
According to Variety, the two have raised more than $75 million to support the Wonder Project. “The two see a huge opportunity to build a premium brand for content that is infused with faith and has its roots in Christian traditions.”
